Even as we return to a vibrant campus community, it is important to recognize that COVID-19 will continue to circulate in our community during the Fall 2022 term.

Portland State has renewed its commitment to creating a healthy campus environment that includes enhanced cleaning practices and strict air quality standards. We have also made resources - including masks, vaccination, and testing - easily accessible for students.

Anyone with COVID symptoms should follow current CDC guidelines for isolation.

Masks are optional in most settings at Portland State, including offices, classrooms, and most other public and private spaces. Exceptions include the Center for Student Health & Counseling (SHAC) and on-campus childcare settings

Vaccination against COVID-19 is required for all enrolled students. Boosters are encouraged but not required.

Students who experience symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, can be tested at The Center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC).

Need a quiet place to take a remote class or study while on campus? Whether you’re studying with a group or alone, there are study spaces throughout campus for you to settle in and get to work. Spaces are equipped with strong wifi signals, comfortable furniture, and electrical outlets for all of your devices.

The Learning Center is another free tool to assist students in completing their academic program at PSU. From tutoring to academic coaching, the Learning Center will help you create your path to success.

A vibrant campus is a safe campus. Campus Public Safety is committed to creating a campus environment that supports students' success with fully trained campus police, safety officers, and security improvements.

Vehicle break-ins are the most common crime on the Portland State campus. In response, parking structures are being enhanced for safety:

The best way to prevent vehicle break-ins is to remove all of your personal belongings from your vehicle. Campus Public Safety’s webpage has more advice and resources for personal safety.
